This week's activities at the Forsyth Public Library:

Are YOU smarter than a Maroa-Forsyth 5th Grader? Probably not - unless you know how to research using databases! This week, Forsyth Public Library staff went into the MFGS 5th grade classrooms to teach them how to research their subject using the new Illinois State Library databases. These databases provide accurate, age-appropriate information including articles, encyclopedia entries and even e-books for all levels - from elementary students through adults.
Would you like to explore the database options available FREE just using your FPL library card? Head to https://www.forsythlibrary.com/o/fpl/page/databases to see all of the options available.
Next week, our 5th grade friends will visit FPL to take a tour and find books on their topic. We're looking forward to their Wax Museum presentations here in the library later this spring!

It's been said that books are like dreams you hold in your hand. Come let them take you anywhere at Story Time with Miss Kelsey. Everyone will do some dreaming through our whimsical stories, activities and craft. You're all invited to wear your jammies and bring a blanket, as well.

This week's activities at the Forsyth Public Library:

2024 was an AMAZING year at Forsyth Public Library - and we can't wait to show you what we have planned for 2025! Kicking off this month, be sure to check out our Adult True Crime Club on Jan 21 and Crafternoon Delight crafting time on the first and third Mondays of each month. Team Trivia is back on Jan 23 and every Saturday morning is a family-friendly drop-in from 10 AM - 12 PM. There's always something to do at FPL!

Family Game Night
Tuesday, January 14 - 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
All Are Welcome!
Grab the family and join us for Family Game Night at the library. We'll have lots of games, such as Tetra Tower, Trash Pandas, Slamwich, and many more to choose from. Come let your competitive side out and have a good time! We’ll have something for all ages and skill levels.

Calling all Freida McFadden fans! This week, FPL's Food for Thought Book Club will be discussing Never Lie and we'd love to have you join us on Thursday, January 9 at 6 PM (note: new later time) for a light meal and a lively discussion. No registration is required - just stop in!
Have you thought about joining one of our Book Clubs but weren't sure if you could fit something else into your calendar? Please remember - it's a book club, not a life-long commitment! You're more than welcome to pop in when there's a title or author that you're particularly interested in and then opt out if your schedule gets too busy. We won't judge!

Come play Hide 'n Seek with Frosty and his Friends!

Community Watch will not be held this month. Join us Tuesday, February 4 at 4:00 p.m. in the Community Room for our first meeting of 2025. Thank you!
