We can't wait for you to "Level Up at the Library!" this summer with FPL. Our Summer Reading program includes options for Ages 2 - 102.

Summer Reading Sign Ups

To sign you or your children up for our Summer Reading program, please come to Forsyth Public Library starting on Tuesday, May 27 during normal library hours. You'll complete a short registration form, we'll give you your reading log to mark off your progress and you'll be able to pick up a calendar of all of our amazing activities.

Kick-Off Party

Join us on Saturday, May 31 from 10 AM - 12 PM for our Summer Reading Kick-Off Party event. You'll want to bring a towel as you enjoy the Foam Blaster, Giant Bubbles, Sidewalk Chalk, Outdoor Painting and more!

Programs for Kids

There's always something to do at Forsyth Public Library! During Summer Reading, you can swing by every single day and always have a new activity to enjoy. Things you won't want to miss:

Every Monday @ 10 AM - 2 PM: A kid-friendly drop-in activity is offered - everything from playing Mario Kart to Oil Pastel Painting. No registration required!

Every Tuesday @ 2 PM: Our weekly Kids' Summer Reading program that includes outside performers like the U of I Wildlife Rescue, Do Art Productions, the Children's Museum, Macon County Conservation as well as our annual Mess-tival and Water Games event.

Every Wednesday @ 9 AM: Our youngest visitors can participate in BabyTalk Times in the FPL Community Room.

Every Thursday: A different fun-filled class or activity including Giant Games, a Nailed It! Cupcake Challenge, Tie Dying and more!

Every Friday: Starting on June 13, FPL will be offering Story Time at the main Forsyth Park (601 Forsyth Pkwy - on the stage just down the hill from the big playground) *NEW LOCATION * Then swing by FPL to try out Foodie Friday, your chance to taste test new and unusual treats.

Every Saturday @ 10 AM - 12 PM: Spend your Saturday mornings playing games, building with Legos, designing your own puzzle and more during our family-friendly drop-ins.

Programs for Adults

During the Summer, we invite you to check out some of our favorite monthly programs including Chair Yoga, Crafternoon Delight, Community Watch, Coffee Talk, and Tech Club as well as our two Book Clubs - Bookkeepers & Food for Thought.

We also will an Exploring Ancestry.com class on June 18, an iCash event with the Illinois State Treasurer's Office on June 25, a Mocktails Drop-In on June 28, a College Application Process Workshop for families on July 22, a Photo Board Craft Program on July 24, and Team Trivia Night on July 31.
