Community Garden Update: Thanks to everyone who has donated toward our Community Garden efforts. Our plants are looking great, and we can't wait for warmer weather to start using the new raised beds behind the library. Please mark your calendar for Saturday, May 3. Beginning at 10 AM, we will have our first ever Plant Swap at the library. It's our hope that you will bring us an interesting plant or two to add to our garden and you can take home several of ours! We currently have 3 types of tomatoes, 2 kinds of peppers, cucumbers, broccoli and basil to share.

Here's what's going on at the library this week:

Here at Forsyth Public Library, we believe that libraries are for EVERYONE and we are actively working on making our building and our programs accessible to all. One big improvement that we are excited to announce is the addition of an ADA Door Opener system on our front doors. With the push of a button, our library is now more easily accessible to patrons with mobility challenges or in wheelchairs. This will also be a huge help to those pushing strollers, carrying children, or just loaded down with lots of good books!

Calling all birdwatchers! Thanks in part to a generous donation from Pat Warnick and family, we are excited to add new birdfeeders to our outdoor space. Come grab a cup of coffee, pull out one of our birding books and see if you can identify some of our new friends!

Here's what's happening at the library this week:

Village of Forsyth Public Works staff are busy at work on a fun new project just outside the library. Do you have any guesses what it might be?
Hint: It's not for our new Community Garden. Those raised beds will go in next week!
