Our trees are up and ready for decorating! Come to the library tonight from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and join our 2nd Annual Tree Decorating Party. We'll have lots of ornaments to put on, plus the kids can color and cut their own special designs. Don't forget, we have a very special guest coming to visit at 4:30 p.m.!

Perler Bead Snowflake Drop-in Saturday, December 7 - 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. All Ages Welcome - Available while supplies last Make it snow in the library by creating some cool Perler Bead Snowflakes. Raina is the author and illustrator of the graphic novels Smile, Drama, Sisters, Ghosts, and Guts, all #1 New York Times bestsellers. She also adapted and illustrated four graphic novel versions of Ann M. Martin’s Baby-Sitters Club series, and has contributed short stories to many anthologies. New in 2024, The Cartoonists Club — a one-of-a-kind graphic novel from Raina and Scott McCloud. Raina’s accolades include six Eisner Awards, a Boston Globe-Horn Book Honor, a Stonewall Honor, and many Best-of and Notables lists. Raina grew up in San Francisco, then moved to New York City, where she earned an illustration degree at the School of Visual Arts. Raina currently lives and works in San Francisco, CA. It looks like they followed them pretty well when they visited yesterday, though they did leave a bit of a mess. We hope they enjoyed the movie - it's one of our favorites!

2nd Annual Forsyth Public Library Tree Decorating Party Tuesday, December 3 at 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. All Ages Welcome - Bring the Family! The holidays are upon us and we’re inviting our patrons, friends and neighbors to join us for a festive evening of family fun. Stop in between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 3 to help us decorate our holiday trees, as well as share in some tasty snacks and beverages. Plus, the kids will want to be here when our special holiday visitor from the North Pole arrives at 4:30. He’ll be handing out treats and listening to Wish Lists. FPL staff will be on hand to take family photos, then email them to you for your holiday greeting cards. At the end of the evening, listen to our guest read the seasonal favorite, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. Join us and watch the library come alive with holiday spirit. Be sure to bring the family and become a part of our new library tradition.
