The Village of Forsyth is pleased to announce its annual Clean-Up Days, scheduled from May 5th through May 10th, 2025. In our continued commitment to maintaining a clean and safe community while being responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars, we will once again be implementing an on-site waste collection service at the Public Works facility, located at 580 East Cox Street (east past Casey’s and down the street).
Event Details:
📅 Dates: May 5-10, 2025 (Monday-Saturday)
⏰ Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
📍 Location: Public Works Facility, 580 East Cox Street
🆔 Requirement: Residents must show identification verifying Forsyth residency
Changes to Collection Services:
After extensive efforts to arrange door-to-door pick-up services, we found that two of the three companies we contacted no longer offer this service, while the third was unable to provide an upfront cost estimate. In the interest of fiscal responsibility, the Village has opted to proceed with an on-site collection instead.
Guidelines for Disposal:
As in past years, we are unable to accept the following items:
• Hazardous waste
• Concrete
• Tires
• Paint
• Oil
• Yard waste
• Treated wood
However, a designated area will be available at the Public Works site for metal and electronics disposal.
Assistance for Those in Need
We recognize that some residents may not have the means to transport their items. To support our elderly, disabled, and those without access to a truck, we are actively reaching out to local organizations willing to assist. If you require assistance, please contact our office at:
