The Forsyth Public Library is governed by a Library Commission made up of 7 members.  The members of the Library Commission are appointed by the Village Board of Trustees for a three year term.

All meetings of the Forsyth Public Library Commission are held on the second Wednesday of the month beginning at 1:00 p.m., unless otherwise indicated in the meeting notice. Meetings convene in the library program room. Anyone is welcome to attend; meetings are held in compliance with the Illinois Open Meetings Act.

Note: The Forsyth Public Library Commission does not meet in the months of October, December or June.
